in my opinion, pink floyd's worst of the 70's is Atom heart Mother, even though I like that album. But it doesnt match up to the shear electricity and magic that meddle, dark side, wywh, animals, and the wall has.

Dark Side of The Moon among Floyd's worst? I don't no if it's hip nowadays to take what most consider a band's magnum opus and say it's among the bands worst, even when compared to Floyd's other work. This said, I'd definetly consider Animals among the top Floyd albums. It is extremelly progressive, but still very catchy and accesible. I wouldn't recommend it as a first Floyd album, instead I'd go with Dark Side of the Moon.

This is a good album, and I like it, but I prefer other floyd albums. And the songs are too long.

Dogs is amazing though. Cool lyrics.

Just to correct a point in the review, the reviewer said "there's a long interlude with a guitar or possibly keyboard solo using some sort of revolutionary synth that sounds like a pig squealing" That's actually Gilmour playing guitar using a talkbox. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk_box

I bought this album a few days ago and it is fucking awesome.

I haven't stopped listening to it.

All songs are genius.

I prefer it to TDSOTM and The Wall but they're five star albums as well. Haven't heard WYWH or Meddle yet.

5/5

Most people seem to like dogs the best, but I like pigs and even sheep more. Great review, excellent album with really thought provoking lyrics!

This album is so incredibly underrated. It's easily one of the greatest albums of all time, let alone Floyd's best.

Might have to get this. The front cover is Battersey Power station in London. Looks nasty on the cover and although its derelict now it still looks dirty.
