This album is pretty good, and has its moments. But "Pink Floyds best by far" as some say.. I often question if the ones who say that are even really Floyd fans if they can consider this their "best by far" so all the evolution and the sound everyone remembers them for is almost pointless if this is the best...
Sounds like a lot of you have a bit of a Syd crush, and not a Floyd crush. This album is wacky and psychedelic, but not even in the same ballpark as some of the later Floyd... Alot of wanking, with a bit of decent song writing...

Definitely deserves the high critical acclaim. Music doesn't get much better than this. I love this album just as much as Dark Side Of The Moon. You've got to love Syd Barrett.
