Yeah the best music art does seem to be made under mental stress which sort of creates a dilemma. We shouldn't be fetishising and promoting mental health problems but is wishing for someone to keep suffering so they make good music a terrible thing? It kinda is but we all do it to a little extent

I don't think mental illness makes for great music automatically. I mean remember that Kid Cudi album from a few years ago? You have to have some talent or skill to express your stress well.

Regularly. It's probably one of the best debut album's of a band in my collection. I do like This Desert Life but they haven't done much memorable since, even though I quite enjoyed their latest release a few years ago now.

Checked this recently, it's a good for me. Drags in places and incredibly melodramatic, but overall pretty solid.

Early 90s alt rock is just catnip to my brain. On my way to get the vaccine I played this album on the car ride on an incredibly sunny day and it was the perfect setting
