Yeah, I actually went to a used cd store today after work and got a copy for a few bucks. I figured I would be able to find it cheap somewhere.
I think it will be in the 3.5-4 area.

My biggest beef with this album is that despite the fact they're basically a supergroup, there's nothing super about it. Brad Wilk's drumming is as boring as it gets, Tim Commerford is audible but uninteresting, and Tom Morello sure as hell ain't giving his all here either as he rehashes old tricks that were far better with RATM. Chris Cornell is the lone saving grace with his distinctive, powerful voice, but he spends way too much time singing about gibberish. Rick Rubin did a good job keeping the production job clean and without added bullshit, but it lacks character nonetheless. The songs for the most part are either standard alternative rock fare at best ("Shadow of The Sun," "I Am The Highway," "Getaway Car) or B-sides from RATM with a different vocalist which isn't a good thing ("Set it Off," "Explode," "Cochise"). "Show Me How To Live" and "Like a Stone" are enjoyable because the band actually gives a fuck on these tunes. It's a shame the rest of the album doesn't follow suit.

I dunno, I am not super fond of Soundgarden as a whole, mostly just Cornell vocals and some of the guitar work.
With Rage, Rocha a lot of the times kind of just sounds like a pissed off little kid that just learned how to swear yelling over some really good funk/hard rock. I never really heard the appeal of him as a front man/vocalist/rapper, but I always dug them musically.
But Cornell doing his thing over some sweet Rage styled/inspired riffing? I am all for that.

He falls into a formula pretty fast with a lot of his songs.

Great album. I personally really like Out of Exile as well, though this is definitely superior. Revelations was a disappointment, but Moth is one of their best songs.
