Yah bro Porcupine Tree are a much more accurate comparison.

Though PT is less manic than TMV and the actual technicality/emphasis on weird time sigs is much smaller than with TMV.

edit: My brother walked in on me listening to this album and was like "what the fuck this music doesn't have any fucking sensible rhythm at all what is this weirdness"This Message Edited On 01.31.08

Haha, he just walked in at the wrong moment, and with TMV there'll be a lot of those for the casual listener.

The lyrics are so good. I don't see what the big problem with them are. I think they are much more inspired then Amputechture. Tho i still think that album is fantastic as well. So far Agadez, Ouroboros, Metatron, Goliath, and Conjugal Burns are my favorites. I think every song is very good tho.

It's really that I don't want to sit around and translate a bunch of metaphorical crap. I'm sure they'd be great if I just had that kinda time on my hands. But I don't.

TBH dude if you have enough time to listen to a TMV record you probably have enough time to decipher the lyrics.

Okay, so I'm pretty much retarded about interweb lingo. What does TBH mean?

And the lyrics don't detract from the experience that much. I just don't like them.

Your comments make me think ur best is much better than mediocre. Anyway...does anyone else really like Tourniquet Man...I think its muy fantstico. Also...does anyone else miss the Spanish. I thought there'd be at least one Spanish track again but alas. This Message Edited On 01.31.08

Yah, the Spanish is great. But of all TMV albums this one would be the most awkward if there was Spanish thrown in.

Your comments make me think ur best is much better than mediocre.

Alas, I've wanted to change my name for awhile. But I dunno, it's one of those things you hate at one point but grow to like it, like an annoying pet.
