I haven't really checked out much post-metal that I know of, but I checked out that Locust Star song and I have grown to enjoy it quite a bit these last few days. That song is all I have from them Inveigh, I'm interested in them though.

Neurosis aren't a song band at all, they're like a musical experience; you need the full albums and just letv them work their magic

well if you liked that song then maybe TSIB isn't a bad starting point. it was my first Neurosis album, and they've become one of my favorite metal bands, but it took awhile. If you really want to get into them, just start with Souls At Zero and work your way forward, you'll enjoy the journey.
They're easily one of the most important metal bands of the last 20 years or so.

Gmork: I don't really care for GY!BE much either, not because I don't think they're good, but because I just don't really have the patience for it. For some reason, I don't feel that way about Neurosis.
and yeah qwe, you don't really find metal bands that never release bad albums, or at least a just average one here or there

I wouldn't really say they are "bad" either, they just didn't seem to go anywhere, it never really paid off sitting there for an hour. I think I will check out Souls At Zero first then, thanks for the help.

speakign of Cult Of Luna you should check them out too. Salvation and Somewhere Along The Highway are incredible, almost as good as this

agreed qwe, Isis were on the downside of their career anyways, whereas Neurosis is still releasing awesome shit (no idea how, but it's Neurosis) and Rosetta is peaking.

No fucking way, Isis where onto their own sound and it was miles different then anything out there in the post metal world. If anything, I don't see how Isis wasn't criticized for dangling onto Neurosis balls with albums like Celestial and Oceanic.
