Excellent album but upon further relistening, it’s a lacking a lot of the propulsion I like from SY. I think I’m starting to come to terms with the fact that I love Goo more than I love this.

Idk, Kim's the coolest woman in rock imo. I know she's not that technically gifted a singer but she more than makes up for it with all that attitude. She sings many some of my favorite tracks of theirs. Kool Thing, Kissability, and Bull in the Heather to name a few.
And Sonic Youth and The Cure are nigh incomparable. I love when Sonic Youth do dark stuff.

I did go listen to Goo for the first time and loved it! Probably my favorite of theirs right now! Should I give this another chance now that I've listened to the four albums after this? Or do you think it's not in the same vein?
Also, I know they are nothing like the cure. All I was saying was that I didn't appreciate that sound from SY, and I'd rather listen to something like the cure, Tom waits, Nick Cave etc. if I wanted something creepy.
