okay first of all you said the album doesnt start off interesting and then talked about carry us away
the best song on the album was the first song
which is called living together
this review is borderline pathetic
it sounds to me like one reviewer wishes he could sing like anthony green and because he never will have that talent he has to lash out and try with all his power to bring down circa survive

but on a serious note
circa survive is most def not for everyone
to me each circa survive song is amazing in its own way
and not once have i listened to a single song they have done and been like OMG that sounds exactly like a really boring cursive/dredg or a really annoying coheed/mars volta song

brings the lulz.

have you even heard a legit coheed or mars volta song, let alone ANY cursive or dredg? how in the world can you compare circa survive to any of those bands at all?

and anthony green is horrifically over-rated. he's a really great vocalist, but he's nothing worth ranting about how the reviewer has a personal vendetta against him. i could sing like anthony green if i wore obscenely tight pants and took estrogen pills.

Bringon- Anthony Green doesn't wear obscenely tight pants.

You are mistaking him for a vocalist in one those poor scene tech metal bands you like. This Message Edited On 07.22.08

i really like Circa Survive. I most definitely think they delivered on alot of there songs. Such as Kicking Your Crosses Down I really loved that song. However, I do listen to them when I'm tired and want to go to sleep. But I still really like all of there songs on this album.

first off, i love the mars volta but if you want to talk about boring, just listen to their last two albums. also, circa sounds nothing like dredg, cave in,coheed, or cursive, so youre comparisons are null and void. i dont know how witty this review is or really based on any reality or knowledge of music.

I wanted to like This band, but after like 3 listens, I couldn't take it anymore. I try to be open minded, but its just too boring.

this album has a lot of good songs. much more pop friendly than juturna. the drummer is still hectic. Sometimes I wish the guitarists would use some poliphony and harmonise riffs a bit more rather than just slap chords under single line melodies. They also tend to play loads of high pitched riffs and I think adding more lower riffs would spice it up a bit more. I think the album is very well balanced overall and circa seem to have established a sound, but unfortunately no giant leaps have been made.

After listening to this again, I just had to raise the rating a little. Its just an ok album, I enjoy the first song, and start losing interest after that. I will have to listen to it a little more.

I think I remember you used to think this band was boring, or was that someone else?

The Difference Between is my personal favourite. Antony Green has improved exponentially as a singer, it's crazy.

Whereas I think he sounds like a shrieking schoolgirl who has just been doped up to the eyeballs.

My argument for Cove over Anthony is basically summed up by the two different versions of I Can Tell There Was An Accident Here Earlier. Cove nails it, Anthony ruins it.

I don't mind Anthony now, but I used to think he was terrible.

Its a decent album. The thing about Circa is that they do absolutely nothing original. Every single thing I hear is like a weird twist of several other bands.

Don't get me wrong, I love them. Seen em 4 times, all of them amazing. They definately have a specific sound to their music, it's just nothing innovative. So much potential, yet too satisfied with how many fans they have.

I need to give this another shot. It's been like 4 months since I first listen to it, and that was before I started using sputnik.
