This album is nothing short of incredible at its worst. At its best, its literally brought tears of joy to my eyes

before. I agree with everything in the review except that the repetition of songwriting elements, IMO it only makes

the album more cohesive as a whole.

Love this. Not sure if I like this or Lazarus Bird more. Might lean towards this as it doesnt over stay its welcome.

On the beginning of Sever, they use the exact same beat as the one found in By the pain I see in others... So, yeah, they kind of "sound" like Opeth. ;)

I would say this is "post-metalcore," since most post-metal (or atmospheric sludge) takes influence from sludge. This album combines elements of post-rock and metalcore. If the label "post-metal" sounds offputting to you, then it is a hardcore version of Isis.
