I would say you could save it till after Watershed comes out, and if it's awesome (which I'm betting it will be) people might not be as focused on BwP as they are now (as Ghost Reveries got semi-mixed reactions), and you can use your 5 to sneak past them...

Gah every time I put my Mp3 player on "All Songs" by mistake I hear the beginning of And a Mirror Cracked, even though I don't want to listen to it....the intro just makes me want to listen to it...

Fail. Unless it was a joke then I fail for not getting it.
But yeah, I wouldn't say they went mainstream in their latest release, but it was certainly different, and nowhere near the quality of this. I'm still eager to hear what their next album will sound like though.
