Really digging this album alot today. Unfortunately, I've noticed alot lyrics on here are kind of dumb. I do understand the whole theme to this album, but its just the way Steven Wilson writes them. For example (from Anesthetize):
The dust in my soul
Makes me feel awake in my legs
My head in the clouds
And I'm zoning out
I'm watching TV
But I find it hard to stay conscious
I'm totally bored
But I can't switch off
They just seem very poorly written to me, kind of in an immature way.
