The track just seemed really out of place with respect to the rest of the album. Epic piece of music nonetheless

About the BMTH comments, I get the whole "scene" thing associated with them, and yes, I hate the whole damn thing too, I'm with you guys. In fact, I hated the fucking band until the release of their latest album. There's definitely some shit tracks on it, with the cliche endless chug-chug breakdowns and what-not. However, there are definitely some great tracks too, ones that don't rely on pointless breakdowns and monotonous riffing, and they actually sound quite good, espeially with tasteful utilization of the keyboards and embient effects. Yes, they are original in their own subtle ways, you just have to be open about it, and look deeper than you normally would.
Now, back on topic, I'm starting to like this more. Still not enjoying it a whole lot, but I'm sure I'll get there.

Gonna rec you some real metalcore.
Cave In - Until Your Heart Stops
Coalesce - Ox
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine
Will Haven - Carpe Diem
Those should help you warm up to this and the others. I would rec Converge but I don't think your ears are ready and I would rec older metalcore but you're not very into hardcore.

Thanks, I enjoy Dillinger, dunno about the others, but I'll definitely check them out. The only thing is, it kind of bothers me that you describe this as "real" metalcore, as if the majority of what I listen to isn't "real". I'm more of a melodic metal person, which is why I listen to what I listen to.

On track 4 of Miss Machine...it's a bit silly at times, but I'm actually having fun listening to it =D

A lot of what you listen to doesn't show many hardcore influences other than the occasional (sometimes too many) breakdown. I enjoy some of those bands, yes, but they sound almost nothing like the metalcore/metallic hardcore of the '90s and early '00s.

Understandable. I'd say this type of "math"core is better for just a fun, enjoyable listen.
