If you're going to try and play it off that you're someone else, at least act like that person.

the real palace was honestly one of the stupidest users i've ever seen on sputnik.

Yeah, I just noticed that.

the original Palace was a douchebag but he had the ability to make things interesting every once in awhile

i like how much more accessible they are on this record. And they've switched to post-hardcore I don't catch anything metalcorish in this.

I think deftones's SNW was influenced greatly by this. Some songs have almost exactly the same ambient texture.

I could see that I guess, Poison the Well and Deftones are pretty similar to me in general (I even made a list about it once!)
but this is definitely still metalcore to me, even if there are lots of post-hardcore elements. Check the breakdowns in Pleasant Bullet and Crystal Lake or the harsh/clean/harsh patter of the vocals which PtW basically started -- classic metalcore trait
song structure in general on this is very metalcore to me

BAD MEMORIES AND GOOD TIMES
i love that one chord that the guitar is strumming during the "it's already hard enough" part, it sounds so haunting and embodies what i love about the album.
