I would say that NOLA is better than all of those albums Brandon, but you just gave me a bunch of thrash, death and core -- I'm saying give me a straight up metal album better than NOLA

I gave you indisputable classics. Assuming this is a classic limits my choices.

I dont find it to be a classic so I could name a bunch of things that you'd disagree with anyway.

ok, what if I revise my statement to look like this (lol):

NOLA is the best straight-up metal album of the last 20 years.

Crowbar's early discog and melvins discog are better than nola imo

mm early Crowbar is awesome, but seeing as two of those guys are in Down and consider NOLA to be their best work I dunno... Crowbar doesn't have anything as epic as Stone the Crow, Eyes of the South or Rehab (and I fucking love Crowbar)

and Melvins best days ended in the early 90s

Crowbar are manly but aren't exactly great imo. they're good, but don't touch NOLA

acceptable answers that could be considered in a class with NOLA would be:

Corrosion of Conformity - Deliverance

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun/Welcome to Sky Valley

Clutch - Blast Tyrant/Robot Hive

and maybe Houdini by Melvins and Broken Glass by Crowbar, but those are pushing it imo

Houdini is overrated. half is awesome, half is complete and utter shit.
