ITS A TRAP

A grounding breaking death metal album and one of the gems from the Finnish scene.



Demilich wasn't just another technical wanker band, they actually wrote good music and had a unique sound.



The songwriting here is some of the best in death metal. Very creative guitar work that is never boring, with constant tempo changes always keeping you on the edge of your seat. To top it off you have progressing song structures, well executed transitions, complex drumming, and brutal dissonance with twisted harmonies.



The production is perfect for this album. The atmosphere is murky and unsettling and the horrifying, croaked vocals only add to it.



Nespithe is truly a unique and original album. There was nothing like it before '93 and there still isn't today.



There are no faults with this album. Musically it is near the top for the technical death metal releases. I do feel though that Antti Boman could have varied his vocals by throwing in a few screams. There are certain parts in some of the songs where a drawn-out scream would kill.
