I prefer under the cork tree myself, but this album wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination

There are some songs I like. I love The Carpal Tunnel Of Love but I can't get into this.

Fall Out Boy's old stuff was so much more potent than this sugarcoated MTV-influenced piece of shit.

The review is great though.

How they sold out?Well maybe 'selling out' is a little too strong a statement, but when they ditched the more personal feel to their music as seen in TTtYG for the sake of some catchy hooks to make every twelve-year old girl and their mothers like them,I would say they were definitely aiming for a new market...This Message Edited On 10.18.08

Yawn. FOB's older stuff was decent, I don't know what became of them...

Take This to Your Grave>Evening Out With Your Girlfriend>Infinity on High>From Under the Cork Tree.

'I Don't Care' is damn catchy, and a little different too.I might consider getting a loan of Folie รก Deux from my friend when it comes out.But I'm not buying it just to end up giving yet another of my CDs to my sister to my sister...again :~This Message Edited On 10.18.08

What the hell was I thinking?

Take This to Your Grave > Folie a Deux > From Under the Cork Tree > Infinity on High > Evening Out

Fix'd

They Grew as a band, Developed their sound and started to write better albums, that's all that happened

Cork Tree is their best album

Yes, yes and Yes.

I don't see how their sound was more "personal" on TTtYG, their next album just sounded different and had better production, that's about it (well, in my opinion)

The lyrics took a huge leap for the better on Cork Tree, as well, and wether people admit it or not, Pete Wentz is a great lyricist.
