i mean lets not kid ourselves, this aint no six feet under

Six Feet Under is undoubtedly the cream of the death metal crop. Let's face it you go to put on any other death metal release you're fucking up if you don't change your mind and throw on Graveyard Classics instead

I copped Commandments when I was first getting into extreme metal and I recall growling into my parents desktop computer mic trying desperately to sound like Barnes lmao. I had a burnt cd of me doing death growls of very juvenile lyrics over Metallica- Orion, Obituary- Redneck Stomp and that Lamb of God instrumental on Laid to Rest. Literally like 20 tracks of me growling my own lyrics over those 3 instrumentals. Embarrassing times

Funny times lol, i actually own the SFU's Commandment album, legit like them in high school days, last year i tried it again after so long and man, the urge to break that shit in half quickly kicked, i don't know what the hell i was thinking back then

if this had been a debut or the sole release of an obscure band and released in like 1993 it'd have a 4 man, its solid stupid riffs and people would be like "wow this guy channels monstrosity big time!"

Album Rating: 4.0
the avg could already be a 4 i cant be bothered to check lol but still man solid stuff. another spectacularly typical yet solidly badass album i own an advance promo copy of is benediction's transcend the rubicon, or doobie-con as it is when i spin it

Bombombombom
UUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

theyve had some average albums over the years but no matter what they always have at least one killer track on every album which is something not many bands can say theyve done, especially with such large discography.
my personal favorite might be evisceration plague honestly, love those slowed down, syrupy groove chugs.

Their mid paced songs are always great, Evisceration Plague being a fine example.
Scourge of Iron is another one, just so groovy and nasty m/

It's been a real long time since I've jammed Evisceration Plague. Gonna change that tonight. I remember I got that cd by signing up for a year subscription for Outburn Magazine for $10. I stacked up like 10 years of that mag just to get a stack of cds lol
