Some days I like this more, some days I like Mandala more. This is such a happy album.

That song is so damn funky. I also love the reprise of the intro in 1980

This album is pretty good but cannot hold a candle to the Resignation.

We've had enough of these politicians wars!

Resignation is weak as fuck in comparison to this

Heresy! Progress and Resignation are my favorite by the bandits.

I just feel like they got so much better after resignation, in pretty much every aspect

See, I feel like they were at their best on Resignation and then tried to recapture that success with their following albums. Not to say that this and Mandala aren't great, but Resignation just feels so raw and unrelenting compared to their more calculated and "well oiled" sound on their follow ups. Still, all in all this band rules hard.

Resignation relies too much on it's catchy 4/4 choruses and I think the songwriting in general is way better on ATBB and mandala. Taking Chase, Falling Down the Mountain and Decrescendo are great though

This > Mandala > Resignation > Don't care about the rest.

I didn't hear Progress until I had already been listening to this and Resignation for all of eternity. By the time I got around to hearing it, it just wasn't the Bandits that I had fallen in love with. It's still a decent record, but it doesn't have shit on anything that came out after it

Fair enough, I started with Progress and I love it

Still have yet to give the Resignation a really good spin though

I wish I could have seen them again on their Resignation Anniversary tour. I can't believe how fucking good that show was *drool*

Still waiting for them to come to Australia, something like three months after we first had this conversation *sigh*. I suppose when they do I'll have to give their albums outside of this and Progress a good spin. Was their Covers EP any good?

I actually haven't even listened to it yet other than the King Crimson cover. I thought it was original material when they first announced it and after finding out it was a cover EP I think my brain just forgot it existed

Maybe they will stop by Australia after Europe, though that will be well into next year by then

I heard the Police cover and thought it was decent but a bit repetitive. Gotta check the King Crimson cover though that sounds sick. I hope they do come here.

On a different topic, did you ever check out TSOAF?
