What was the main beef with scenecore from the metal scene? Was it the lack of technicality or that they didn’t take themselves seriously or the emo haircuts?

I think a lot of the beef comes from the pop/mainstream rock influences that trickled in when this stuff really popped off. A lot of metalheads and core truthers probably saw it as watering or dumbing down the music.

i mean it was but it wasnt incidental. the whole point of this music was to be fun. the hate was a bit uncalled for but i guess not unexpected. cant have people spoiling our precious metal by having a good time
