sorry man I didn't mean to do that. I guess what I meant is that I feel its a record that encapsulates a lot of teenage feelings (and I appreciate it for that, and it certainly brings back memories in that sense), contrasting TDAG which encapsulates the feelings of a bitter adult which resonate more with me these days, thats all.

I mean it didn't really need to be explained it's fairly obvious that deja is angsty and the lyrics of a teenager.

but who knows maybe in ten years when i'm zak's age some of his criticisms of this will hold merit to me and i'll see this as melodramatic and full of that emerging into the bubble of real adulthood unwarranted jadedness

some people just prefer to be politically correct but thankfully it's not ever gonna be a rule of thumb to be that way

but there's also more to tdag and daisy than just being bitter. the songs with the subject taken away are still really good and enjoyable. I just don't find deja enjoyable.

Your Favorite Weapon is just as good as TDAG and Daisy, it's fun, catchy, and a grand ol' time.

this is a pretty decent album. But the continued stockholm-syndrom relationship that this site has with this band is irritating and not justified by this album.
