Quite liked the piano intro. Wish there was more melodic singing like that by Gerard on any MCR album, would've made his vocal performances sound less one dimensional

Hm I agree about the vox. A bit disappointed that the 10th anniversary is just demos though

I think this trumps "Three Cheers" because it feels more cohesive with the exception of "Teenagers". To me "Three Cheers" just feels like a bunch of songs and not really a concept, even though I know it is.

Yeah from what I've read it's just a re-release, nothing done to remaster it or anything, all that's new is the 11 demos which is a bit crap really

Was pumped for a re-master, when will bands learn no-one wants to pay for their badly recorded unfinished demos
|

Album Rating: 5.0
Yeah cause it was definitely mcr's idea to put this out and not Warner brothers looking for the cash grab

I wasn't even that pumped for a remaster; this is mcr's best produced record from the first 3, why not remaster their debut which actually needed it? Having said that, some shitty demos will likely be worse than a remaster.

I love Famous Last Words so much.

'this is mcr's best produced record from the first 3, why not remaster their debut which actually needed it?'
because this album still has shitty production regardless.

Finally listened to this in full.

Three Cheers probably has their best production. Isn't as brick-walled as this and Danger Days is way too slick

Asleep, wanna put up a vinyl rip of this on Soulseek?

This album is an impenetrable brick wall. Much prefer the raw/dry production on Three Cheers to this

Looking at the first comment in this thread from over ten years ago
"eww they released it... these guys wont be around or remebered for being great in the next 10 years."
The irony is unreal.
