One review is just that anyway. It's one guy reviewing an album. Doesn't make his review more interesting than another guy. So take them with a grain of salt. No one has the same listening history and so we all have different tastes because we haven't heard the same things and our own tastes will evolve.
If people only reviewed things they liked, we'd never have any negative reviews x)
For instance, i gave this album a 5 because i'm always having fun listening to it when i spin it. However, this is based on me having had this album for years and having appreciated it back in the day. I could totally understand someone saying it's nothing special. Music has evolved since then ^^
But it will remain fun to me no matter what. Some other albums haven't aged as well and aren't fun to me anymore and thus, i'll rate them lower.

Seriously though, c'mon.
Despite the variance in subjective opinions which makes opinions interesting to begin with, there are reliable ones and there are unreliable ones. This is an unreliable opinion verging on being a hot take.
Not everyone has to agree that this is a classic album. Not everyone has to even agree that this is a good album. However, despite what you may think about or how much you hate Celine Dion and my heart will go on you have to admit that the song is catchy as fucking hell. It may be lame and overplayed, but it is virtually guaranteed to get stuck in your head. 60 million people don't have to be right, but they're not wrong either. Saying that the melodies, riffs and lyrics on this album are unimaginative, repetitive and un-catchy is pretty damn far from the truth, even if you hate this kind of music.
Therefore, rating it a 2.0 when its overall rating is above a 4 is also far from representative of the album's quality and appeal, subjective though that may be to the reviewer. He/she is of course welcome to their opinion, but does that opinion deserve to be the one most likely to be seen/heard when someone looks for a review on the site? I don't think so, unless the actual quality of writing and analysis in the review merits it, which it most certainly does not. Who thinks "Think About You" is a better hard rock song (and as the review implies, less boring and predictable) than "Welcome to the Jungle"? Someone whose knowledge and appreciation of hard rock is very, VERY questionable, that's who.

No way in hell Think About You is better than Welcome To The Jungle. I can understand how we can get jaded by how overplayed WTTJ is, but it certainly is one of GNR's greatest songs

I really like Think About You too, and it was the first GnR song that I *loved*, tbh.
But in terms of the quality of both the music and the lyricism, it's nowhere near Jungle. I think that it's the weakest song on this album lyrically, and as catchy as the guitar parts are those arpeggiated figures in the chorus are kiiiiinda cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I love me some cheesy '80s arpeggios, even the GnR ones.
