Deer Dance feels like it could've been a track they wanted to put on this but held off

the silliest vocal delivery of any SOAD song ever? I'm honestly not sure but I'm leaning yes

There's a lot of silly ones but that's my fav lol.
God this album is so cool. I love how they sample the intro verse of Peephole completely randomly before the song actually starts. Always thought that was such a bizarre but effective production choice. Kinda gives you the creeps ya know?

oh this is peak SOAD for sure. Shit goes so fucking hard and there's nothing even remotely like it. Toxicity can't lay a finger on this madness

I love Toxicity too but agreed hard. Nothing quite like this in the entire world. They were tripping absolute balls when they recorded this

this is so unhinged it makes Toxicity sound like a pandering radio album
|
| |
Toxicity is a pandering radio album TBH, except for Chop Suey, which is GOATed for good reason and Needles, Deer Dance, Prison Song and Science which hit as hard as the best of 'em.

I don't really see Toxicity as a pandering album, it just feels like one coming on the heels of this one. They definitely took a stab at more mainstream appeal but it's still a fun record, just overrated. Prison Song is GOATed though. Probably one of the dirtiest nu-metal openers ever
