Even, grandmasters like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven recycled continually many of them.
The new patterns are often there, but more elusive than the old ones. Little many HQ variations on top of these old riffs are the secret. Cheers!

It's funny, I came here to say the same thing, and that the entire album sounds so much better on speakers than any kind of earphone or headphone that I've tried. I'm fucking loving this one though, especially God he Sees in Mirrors, and Kaleidoscope, which are just bangers, and up there with my fav Meshuggah songs.
