If this was the only statement, then yeah I'd agree, but the other part does raise some problem flags.
It's understandable at least, because it's hard for him to think that his favorite singer is capable of doing such things. I am a hypocrite as well, as I have no problem condemning Weinstein and co. but treat Spacey and Louis differently just because I like them, and same with Jesse as well. Although, yeah, I never idolized Jesse as a paragon of humanity, because he has made it very clear that he's fucked up in several songs. I'm on my way to hell, God knows I've tried. I am on the mend, I hope you will forgive things I still lack.

man, there are and have been a lot of stories about jesse. that facebook post was made by FOB and Guns 'n' Roses' guitar tech. Does he know jesse/has he toured with Brand New?
I know it sucks, my favorite band is Swans and so seeing that thing with Gira is a gut punch. people are terrible, and more and more stories have been coming out because people are finally seeing consequences for their actions. just because the actions haven't been proven to be true doesn't mean we should be jumping to their defense. the whole notion that people are always falsely accusing is wildly incorrect, sorry Sowing, but that's just wrong. If anything, the amount of rapes or sexual assaults or abuses that go unreported far exceed the amount of reports that are false. and it's not close.
