It already do be hitting, just took a while to adjust to the vox / music combo - i.e. not something I would've placed alongside each other, necessarily. Let's call them instinctive aesthetical barriers.
Uroboros got there eventually and this is catching up fast. I'm yet to digest a couple of their other albums I have (fairly briefly) checked.

i think my ranking slides around alot but this is sorta my feeling these days. Kisou is a fantastic album held back by weird production choices, and same goes for macabre, but the songs are very memorable. Phalaris might move up in the list a bit though, but i think the songs on it are either super good or entirely forgettable, unlike the early records
