Hot take but Bless the Martyr is their second worst album. No fucks given

Moar like the best but you could pick quite a few songs from their latest three that are better.
Ninja edit: sorry that was in response to onion.

"dude Memphis is like the Enter Sandman of metalcore"
That is a terrible analogy. Enter Sandman was Metallica when they started ditching Thrash and going for a more mainstream sound. Memphis was an incredibly fresh song upon its arrival in the early 2000s that was hugely developmental for a lot of Metalcore to come.

"They are closing with Got it at 5? That's fucking great. I hope that means they'll stop playing Memphis finally. I know I'm in the minority, but that song is ass compared to literally everything they've done since."
whoaaaa, you take that back sir!

Bless The Martyr was amazing when it dropped and it will always have a special place in my heart, but they've outdone that shit more than a couple times already. I don't find myself revisiting it much these days.
Antimother is still their worst tho

Worst is the new plastic shit

The thing is that they never really did anything quite like Bless The Martyr again. It's a bit of a lone wolf in their discography. Especially atmosphere-wise

@Thalassic that's a fair point, it just grew off of me more than any of the others I'd say. That being said I still bump the shit out of Face:Face or I used to hate Cellphones
All Hail is okay. Has some standout tracks but it doesn't touch Wrongdoers or Polar to me

Now you're talking Jam m/ Polar is one hell of a creative piece imo

polars great but it kinda doesnt have a distinct identity to me. it just kinda sounds like them retreading what they were doing on the two before but not nearly as memorable. its definitely not bad by any means but idk it doesnt stand out to me nearly as much as the blend of aggression and slower expansive shit on this or just the earth shattering heaviness of all hail
|

How about this one, Polar and All Hail all rule sweet ass

Disagree hard on the Polar's memorability obs. All album is memorable, each track with its own identity and hooked af...yeah but it went def somewhat smoother and less organic production-wise...I happen to think songwriting is beyond excellent there.

im probably making it seem like i like it less than i do it is really good im just never compelled to come back to it the way i am wrongdoers, all hail, or even meridional. it feels like they took the moodier and aggressive parts of this and fused them together which as a result lost a lot of the dynamics. idk tho its still great and i can get where the love comes from but i think my love for this album specifically made it grow off me
