yea I know daryl and Justin are both into supreme/fashion, and brands like supreme and Sony purposely make less than what is demanded for the attention it will bring to their brand. but it makes no sense to do that if youre not a big company. make as many as you can and cash out. though as I mentioned previously daryl fully admits to not caring about the money glassjaw brings in. hard band to be a fan of, theyre such fucking hipsters

I managed to get the clear/blue/yellow yesterday from BrooklynVegan and my partner snagged the blue/orange/red variant. So they'll be two of these bad boys in our household. Maybe I'll trade one of you for the Our Color Green 7"s.

I bought a glassjaw cd once I think. Maybe an album on itunes also. Lol. Glassjaw being commercially available is a weird thought to me though i know they have a big cult following

GJ has one of the largest cult fanbases in existence, man. They're the hypebeasts of bands.

Though it's not really one of my go-to gj jams, I find Vanilla Poltergeist Snake to be compositionally brilliant. Like the way the verse/chorus instrumental is entirely made up of the drums, bass, and that faint e-piano, with the only guitar being that low wahhed *bwooowwww* accent in the chorus like..... what other band like this would even think of that? And then the way the bass/guitar are completely blended in the interlude. Fuck man.
I know a lot of people really long for the two guitar gj lineup of the first two albums, but I think Beck being able to write all the music on his own without having to satiate anyone else's ego really heightens the material on here (which he's always done anyways, but it's totally different when you don't even have other official band members). He's also a bass player first and foremost, who happens to play guitar in the band, while absolutely hating guitar. Those two factors combined allow them to do stuff instrumentally that just wouldn't be possible for most other bands.
