Gotcha Boney (: "Myrrhman" and the closer are actually he most underwhelming for me right now tbh, but I've found something to love in all of it

The quieter tracks took longer to hit me. Really every track on this was a major grower

Myrrhman is about hanging yourself if that helps get with the vibe. This album is pretty dark as a whole

Says who? There's nothing that gives me that vibe at all lol.

It mentions a chair and alludes to ‘up’ a lot but that’s such a stretch.

Lol Dan mentioned this album on Game Grumps today halfway through reading a sonic slash fic out loud
Unsure how I feel

HAHAHA omg yes. You watch game grumps too man? Every day since Jan 2013 for me. It made my heart so happy when I found out Dan loves them.
Also, sonic fan fic is hysterical.

"Faith one path & the second in fear
A half wit am I read
And tread dependence beneath my feet
Step right up something's happening here"
I read that as willfully transcending oneself to become something greater. A Death Grips or Jesus type of metaphor.

Album is so good.
Think I prefer Eden slightly, though.

I've just seen several mentions of the hanging theory for Myrrhman on the Spirit of Talk Talk page and YouTube vids, not super reliable I know, so of course it's not a definite. The instrumentation, as well as the melodic choices are just depressing af to me on that track and support the theory possibly, but that's subjective.

As in hanging ones old self to become something new, "step by idle step". And "blessed love, the love I've seen" speaks to me as having the vision to transcend his "half wit" self.

the album wouldn't be as resplendent in hope as it is without Myrrhman offering a pretty bleak (albeit gorgeous, i mean come on that violin lick > a lick from a partner) beginning
