Best neurosis (2)

Disclaimer: unless it's Pain of Mind or the latest 2 (not heard), seems unlikely though.

does it matter? Every neurosis thread is people saying what 'Da BEstEst NEurosiS' is and nothing about the actual record

I sort of agree with Deezer, probably happens because these guys have a vast & highly respected discog where several of their records get regularly cited as the 'best' one. Sometimes it isn't fair to compare, this is different to TEOES, TSIB or Souls for instance but every one of those could be my favourite depending on my mood.

Whichever one you're currently jamming is the best, the end.

There is a very dark, brooding atmosphere on this one. I think that helps lend a hand to how the listener experiences and processes the album. I can easily imagine listening to this whilst under a sky totally illuminated by sunlight, turning the sky a crimson red. Like in Doom.

incredible album.

I bet this looks fantastic on vinyl, was always transfixed by the album art but it's a bit of a strain seeing the details on a CD cover.
