Best prog metal album. Best prog metal band

I'm not a big fan of the section between Walk in the Shadows and Surgical Strike on Rage, but that's just a personal thing. Time will tell how I feel about that part of the album later on.

I Dream in Infrared and The Whisper are both amazing.

Agreed hard on I Dream in Infrared.

I'll prob revisit Rage in a few months or so, I Ryched too much last year so I'm still overcoming that a bit.

I'm Ryching again in this period. After starting my journey on Sputnik I'm revisiting all my favourite bands. And holy hell, Promised Land and American Soldier were a lot better then what I remembered.

Well, I 4'd it. Some sweet tunes, but imo quite a fair share isn't as strong.

Best prog metal album.
Quite possibly.
Best prog metal band
Definitely not if you're looking at the complete output. Queensryche really aren't worth much past 1994, while Fates Warning have been delivering quality their entire career. Dream Theater have had their ups and downs for sure, but their low points are nothing compared to Ryche's.

| |
Agreed Nag.
|
| |
I'm not looking at the complete output. Based on the primes of all 3 bands, Ryche were the best imo
