Lol. TBF, you shouldn't really put much stock into what other people do in liking something.

This band did something quite special and quite unique at a time when Metal really needed it. Naturally, people (including imbeciles) cottoned onto it.

I personally find watching some of their live footage, circa '93-6) pretty good in reminding what it was that got me into them in the first place... before the mass prevention from derpy fans and shit gigs in the Domican Republic.

It all depends on your enjoyment level. Tool is a top 5 band for me. Love the band. Am I someone that worships them and geeks out with the fib sequence and such and such acting like their gods amongst man. Nah. Their just a great band. But if your someone like wildcardi that just likes the band but no a personal favorite your going to scratch your head at the fanboys. Even I do. But it's not just tool alot of bands have your head over heels rabid fanboys that need to get off the nuts and calm down a little. Slipknot, kiss, Metallica, tool slayer and zeppelin come to mind first. End of the day it's all just about someone's personal enjoyment level of a band. Their is no great or terrible it's just how much do you like the music
