The problem with metal remasters is that the standard today is "overproduced" rather than "well-produced". Even something with poor production can have a lot of emotion but that can pretty much be sterilized by a lot of modern studio values.

this is a highschool classic for me so i love it regardless but yeah the harsh vox can definitely be shoddy/jarring at times. hoping they tweaked that and the bass

About half of the comments on the previous page are about how the bass sound is improved.

They tweaked the vocals a bit, but I don’t think it really changes anything for the people that didn’t like them before.

Remaster sounds incredible. The part at the end of Enablephobia with the screeching vocals that made me wish I was actually deaf is basically just drowned out with bass now. I'll definitely be opting for the remaster of this from now on.

The remaster was a disappointment for me that sterilized all the character from the original album. Everything sounds all loose and muddy, the snare drum is ruined or entirely absent in some parts. There's rewrites that remove some of the best moments (the scream in Anablephobia at 1:10).

Just listening to the remaster of Mordecai which was always my favourite BTBAM and for me it’s mostly much improved but they did something really weird on the cleans for the ‘familiar sound’ section which I don’t like. Overall positive though and the bass rules as has been said.

BTBAM's always been a band that attracts dilusional crybabies and godawful edgelord purists. yall can pathetically 1, 2 or 3 this but the monolithic avrg withstands any pitiful trolling attempt out of sheer ignorance. no ones gonna remember u anyway

There's definitely some pitch correction on the clean vocals and it's not subtle at all. Helps with some of the rougher vocal harmonies (Mordecai comes to mind) but the main vocal lines sound so fake it kills the impact.

Delayed double post by more than a year lol.
But just gotta say, the Colors Live version of Mordecai shits on the studio version.
