Heaven and Hell > Sabatage and Vol. 4 [2] but they are all great regardless.

Dio era is more vocal-centric as opposed to the riff-focused Ozzy era.

But their are still plenty of amazing riffs with Dio like "Sign of the Southern Cross" and "Heaven and Hell."

There are plenty of riffs on Dio era too agreed. H&H is a brilliant album overall that can really stand against Sabbath's first six in terms of quality.

Thats exactly why I prefer the first 6 to any Dio album. H&H and Mob Rules aren't that far behind

though and still awesome albums in their own right. Its kind of like Burn and Stormbringer not being

as good as In Rock, Fireball or Machine Head.

Iommi was in his riffin' prime in the early 70's, and everyone knows metal's all about the riffs... so naturally, early Sabbath is best Sabbath.

plus, yeah, Ozzy's voice totally suits Sabbath's slow burning doom way more effectively than Dio. Can't stress that enough.

However, Dio's voice meshes better with traditional heavy metal (Rainbow, his solo stuff and maybe even Elf to an extent). and he's obviously the more talented of the two.

now let's never draw this comparison again.

Alright then demigod! I know the doom metal genre can be considered one of the eldest metal genre in principal from the first three Sabbath albums, and Ozzy's voice was sure a big part of it.
