My best concert memory is I saw Gojira at Red Rocks with Opeth and Devin Townsend; when they played The Shooting Star a harvest moon rose over the amphitheater and I've never had chills like that since.

Man I have been waiting to go to Red Rocks for the right show for so long (ever since seeing the Incubus at Red Rocks DVD), I couldn't go to that and it would have been PERFECT.

Red Rocks so goated!!! My top shows I've seen there are either NIN or the South Park 25th anniversary. Can't go wrong w anything there though

I've been to so many shows I don't even know what my favorite one would be, way too many to think of

Slipknot/Marilyn Manson in 2000 was the first show where my brain basically exploded though

Dream Theater with an orchestra for that DVD show was great, seeing the big 4 at yankee stadium, having backstage passes to Gojira and Devin townsend and hanging out with them/seeing them front row, going all out for Slayers final show, most recently seeing Pantera last summer with VIP tickets when I never thought Id see them in my life

So many more Im forgetting aha, its been like 25 years of nonstop shows now

I want to make a list for my top shows ever but I'm in the same boat. So hard to narrow it down to even 10-20

Same, it's really hard. No clue how many I have seen. A couple shows are just not comparable to the rest (Metallica at Busch Stadium / Tool on the 10k days tour) on a spectacle level.

If you twist my arm I always say Every Time I Die at the Granada in Lawrence, KS summer of 07, which I've talked about many times over the years around here.

Maybe I'll try to put a top 10 list together. I was actually thinking more about a most disappointing live acts list lol.

Oh shit I also saw Tool on that 10k tour - with Isis, right?

My most disappointing live show was Bjork doing a DJ set at a festival in 2016. She dropped Ariana Grande and Lil Yachty to a room full of idm nerds coming over from a Squarepusher set. Hilarious but you could feel the confusion in the room lol

And for disappointing shows, Marilyn Manson at the Paramount a few years ago - bought my brother these for his birthday, it was definitely an experience lol

He showed up like an hour late or something like that, played a few songs (barely) then rolled around on stage ranting about how fucked up his life was then left

Then refused to issue refunds

Good times

I also caught that tour, but it was a leg where ISIS couldn't join. I was ok with it at the time because I didn't know who ISIS was. Checked em out right after the concert and almost instantaneously became one of my fav bands.

Then I ended up seeing ISIS on their ITAOT tour in Iowa city in 2007 and that was the best show I've ever been to no cap

I didn't catch Isis, it was Melt Banana. I don't much dig the music but they are one of those bands where you instantly feel like part of a cool club for knowing about them, kind of like Boris back in the day.

MM is also on my disappointment list for a 2018 or so show opening for Ghost, and it was really, really not pretty.

Stark comparison to him in his heyday when I saw the him during the gods / guns era. absolutely captivating.
