I consider it an eternal affront that NOTB is the celebrated Maiden album, man. Its just not that great. Quite good, I'll admit, but thoroughly outshadowed by the prior two and preceeding four, in my opinion.
I know I'm in the minority, but the three great songs don't exactly elavate the filler for me.

I understand, believe me. I still consider it 4/5 probably, but also fully believe it to be outclassed by the surrounding albums, like I mentioned before.

If by filler he means these songs will make you feel full and satisfied, then yes there's a lot of filler.

And......only 3 great tracks?

He's right though; there are only three great tracks: the beginning of the album, the middle of the album, and the end of the album.
That's it.

Its cool if he likes the other 6 or 7 surrounding it better, but damn, I never thought this had any filler on it.
First Maiden filler didn't come until No Prayer.....hell, maybe even FOTD
(Here's where someone mentions a song or two towards the end of Piece Of Mind)

In the case of those particular songs I would say yes. They're shorter than the other songs and feel like they were written in 2 minutes imo

Yeah it's better than Quest. Still not really a fan of it personally

I'll give the nod to the T/T as great for its impact, but I really don't think its that great musically. Otherwise, 22 / Run to the Hills and Hallowed are the great ones, imo. I can enjoy the others from time to time, like I said, but fully do not support that this album is a cornerstone of metal the way it is treated.

And I will never understand how Total Eclipse didn't make the cut originally. That song goes so hard.
