they both also pushed the boundaries and experimented with their respective genres quite a bit, so i think the comparison is legitimate

Ya I gotta jam this eventually. Also I'd say in the grand scheme of things PF is more influential of course but OKC and Kid A certainly left their mark I'd say.

"I still gotta jam this though I haven't heard anything pre OKC."

w0000t man this is my 2nd fave rh

also, it's just silly to say pink floyd is better than radiohead or the other way around since their style of experimentation differed so much from each other

Their also similar in the construct of the group being a bunch of educated fellas who rather than forming a band to channel personal angst they generally want to create conceptual art through the medium of music.

Moi, pretentious

Not sure. I just know that OKC is my number 1. This is damn fine as well.

Just bought this on CD for my 12 year old stepbrother for Christmas. Gave him Nirvanas "Nevermind" for his birthday, now "The Bends". Trying to shape him a little. And just enough not to get caught in that "MTV-Downward Spiral"-thing.

adr: Many people would agree, but I picked Nevermind because of its accessibility, which I certainly think it has more of than fx In Utero.

Thought about OKC instead of the Bends for Christmas, but for a kid who has zero interest in music, I thought it'd be too much.
