Some of the greatest rhythm guitar in metal. I only wish the bass wasn't inaudible. That's part of the reason why I prefer No more Color to this slightly.

Still waiting on that promised new Coroner LP. Their live shows are tight as fuck these days, I think they can be trusted to put out quality.

Imagine if Coroner released a teaser single for the new album in 2024 and it had Andy Sneap production, entirely in 4/4, about 195BPM

The crazy thing is that Mekong Delta's been releasing material for years by now and Coroner has still not released a thing.

I would think Coroner's new material would be a bit less thrashy and more atmospheric, given how Grin went and how they do their tracks live these days. Case in point, that space rock-ish solo stuck in the middle of Metamorphosis. Frankly I'd love to hear that, I'm hopeful they won't go too mathy a route. Coroner always seemed to me to abhor excess technicality for its own sake, which is something their peers didn't quite get (obligatory yet quite left field "fuck AJFA" comment).

I'm rambling - I just want them to put out whatever the fuck they feel like and I'm reasonably confident it'll be pretty good in a way I'm not confident in other old genre giants.

Grin and the original songs of the compilation own so if they do something in that vein, I wouldn't mind.
