This really deserves the high rating, it's an amazing album and just as important as the likes of Smashing Pumpkins and other bands more commonly associated culturally as being classical definitive Alternative Rock. If anything this is the best pure guitar album of the genre, maybe tied with Siamese Dream. I mean, sure, it's almost so catchy that it feels unfair on other bands, but one can't just write this type of stuff, Jenkins and co. are talented musicians, in ways their composition ability outranks anyone else. So I'm pleased that it isn't given some culturally elitist downplayed rating just because it's also commercially appealing. Also, the band, while outspoken to the point of apparently being considered obnoxious by some, have a great progressive social conscience.
