You saw Thomas Erak with Royal Coda?! That could have been really cool!
Saw Fall of Troy in ~2008. I guess they were touring another record but I felt like they mostly played Doppelganger. Maybe they've fallen apart more in the years afterward, but I thought they were good then. His style of playing sadly necessitates a bit of sloppiness live, something unavoidable for anyone except, well, a better guitar player than he is. It's so fucking fast that you just forgive a lot of the little missed notes while he's sliding his hand violently up and down the board. As a Guitar Hero fan at the time I was mostly there to see F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. and they did not disappoint.
I'd be a bit more weary to see them now though.
