Seasons is excellent but something about this one just clicks every time i listen to it, almost like it's involuntary. I used to not like saying this was the best Slayer because I didn't want to go with the 'generic' or 'basic' choice but facts are facts...this album fucking rules

Yeah dude, this one just has an energy that is unreal. Plus, those riffs.

This has that fucking riff in Angel of Death, so. But then again, Seasons also has my all-time favorite SLAYER song (title track). I call a tie personally - both hard 5's.

Lol come on now. Metallica is damn good, but Lars is the reason why they will never be in the same prestige as Slayer.

Early Metallica rules, but I'd agree tbh.

What's the first? Is it also Angel of Death?
|

your pick of Sabbath song of course.. But I could see how someone could see Angel of Death taking both spots.

Could make a good case for War Pigs at #1.

Yea I was leaning toward War Pigs for the top spot, maybe the song Black Sabbath.. But is definitely something from Iommi's guitar..

As much as it makes me cringe saying this, but its probably Enter Sandman. Metallica is the most well known metal band right now.

You're probably right but I still want to tell you to go fuck yourself for saying that Enter Sandman is above Angel of Death in terms of riffs for literally any reason.
But yeah, probably. Damn it.

Lol, don't get me wrong, Slayer's first 5 albums are vastly superior to Metallica's first 4 in every way, shape, and form, but most peoples first listened metal song was Enter Sandman.

I would think something like Master of Puppets would take the top spot. It combined thrash with prog-ish clean guitar passages and twin guitar melodies and shit. Way more impactful than AoD or Enter Sandman imo
