I like some of this band's music but along w Radiohead, they are historically among the most overrated acts of all time. The personalities/disdain for fans makes it a lot worse for Tool however

I would say maybe 10 of them are genuinely amazing pieces of music. The tool fanboy thinks everything they do is the greatest thing ever when in reality they’re a just a good band that can sometimes be amazing. It’s not any deeper than that, I think this record proves that. Maynard is on autopilot for most of this thing but lyrically it’s the same bullshit he’s been spewing since Lateralus.



The sooner people quit acting like this band is the second coming of Christ the better. I used to think it too… when I was like 17. It’s not as deep as some of these “insufferable retards” think.
