This, Dude Ranch, Dogs Eating Dogs
Enema of the State, Neighborhoods
Cheshire, Buddha, TOYPAJI, Cali Deluxe
California
Not including Boxcar, +44 or AVA, but I’m a big fan of all three.

The Uranus ep is amazing. Zulu and Wrecked him are two of my favorites by them. Better than pretty much anything on Cheshire Cat and most of Dude Ranch imo

I don't worship Tom. I just enjoy his music a lot

ok well
99% of the rest of the ava fanbase has this really weird infatuation with him and everything he's a part of to the point where i'm pretty sure they don't listen to any artist that doesn't have ties with blink (except green day)
i'd call it a cult but i don't think that would do it justice

That could be true. I never really took part in the AVA 'fandom'. However, I really don't get what he's trying to achieve with the To The Stars company, so I just focus solely on the music. Even though it's spares, it's better than what he has ever done with Angels and Airwaves. Especially the Dream walker and Chasing Shadows

tbf ava is the reason i got into atmospheric music in the first place so i'll give them that

I always felt they were way to inconsistent. Maybe that's why I like their eps better than most of their records (except for TDW). All records have some spectacular songs though. My favorites probably being Heaven, The Adventure and Valkyrie Missile (and half TDW, but lets exclude that for a sec)

The Dream Walker is fantastic and underrated. AVA’s best album after I-Empire imo.

each ava album has a handful of sick songs and eventually become a heavy challenge to sit through due to every song being like 6 minutes, having 2-3 minute intros, and all basically being the same song (shove/everything’s magic/dry your eyes all have like the same fucking chorus)
that said, call to arms, rite of spring, adventure, the war, valk missile, crawl, anxiety, like half of the dream walker. good band when theyre good (which isnt nearly often enough)

Don’t forget Secret Crowds (my favorite Ava song), The Wolfpack, Tunnels and Kiss with a Spell. That Chasing Shadows EP They put out was consistently good all the way through.

I'm surprised no one ever mentions Heaven. Without a doubt my favorite by them. The entire Stomping the Phantom Brake Pedal is also excellent except for the useless remixes

I never had the slightest desire to get into Angels & Airwaves. Tom DeLonge taking himself that seriously was not something that appealed to me
