The remix of this sounds crazy, bumped the bass way up. Only thing I'm not sold on is the drum sound. Could be that I’m just so used to how they sound on here originally. Gonna need a few more listens.

After a few more listens the guitar and bass sound better in the mix but damn did they fuck up the snare sound. It’s pretty distracting tbh.

"remaster" sounds like it has a weird equalizer on it and that snare is pretty awful. opposite effect of the self-titled remix

S/T and TGM remasters are both amazing, this one is a mixed bag. I love how the guitar and bass are up in the mix but damn they fucked up the best part about this album for me. Which is the drums.

yeah and clean vocals on mordecai have an uncompromising amount of reverb, you can hear it get way too wet compared to the og where there's.... none

Agreed, even the intro to Mordecai sounds weird with how the drums sound. Good thing I never had much of an issue with the originals production.

They already re-remasted Colors for Vinyl and reissued that one, but I'm curious if they'll give it the full remix treatment. Same goes for Alaska. Those have the most acclaim in their fanbase, so maybe they'll avoid changing them.

love the bass on the remaster, especially in the mordecai bridge

The bass is amazing for sure, but I deleted the remaster after listening to the original mix last night. The snare just sounds so awful that it ruins it for me. I also don’t like what they did to a lot of the clean vox.

Definitely sounds more 'grand' on the remastered version, not sure which I prefer, I think both versions are good

The bass makes the remix worthwhile.

The solo section and the clean section in Ad a Dglgmut is easily one of the band's best moments

I'll have to check that remaster. Perhaps I'll be able to get through Anablephobia now without my ears bleeding.

damn i didn't know they did a remaster, snaggin it now. best btbam

I'm actually kind of curious if a remaster could save this, not sure the vocals are salvageable
