Agreed about the non singles being the best with this band. My ordering of the singles right now is: Lightning (for reasons mentioned above) > Speak (pretty epic posturing even though it never capitalizes) > Down Together (feels like the closest these guys have come to a straight up pop song, I still kind of groove to it though). Each of them get better the more I listen, but I don't think this album will come close to matching Nearer My God.

I totally agree with you, NMG was a master piece that is hard to top, and like Lasseg stated, they don’t have to top it. I get that albums are getting compared but it shouldn’t define my feelings for a record. If that was the case, finding new fun music would be a chore.
