I mean I can see the shock of his death at the time affecting people's judgement on it and that changing later on, but what he was going thru while writing and recording this will always be the historical context of the album. In that regard I wouldn't be surprised if my rating was still accurate

I had to up this to a 5. It's now my fav Bowie album. Everything surrounding it's inception and the whole atmosphere is just sadly hypnotic in a very artistic way, if that makes any sense...
Edit: I'm gonna be redundant but this is really so good.... For sure on its way to being a staple of art rock music.
