Absolutely no hate to the reviewer but this review made me realise that the way I look at and rate albums is completely different to how a lot of people do. A lot of people rate albums based on how they "changed" music, "empowered" a generation or how relevant the subject matter of the album is. When I rate music, I tend to consider things like how good I think the average track is, the structure of the album, the flow, the production, the sequencing, the lyrics, the songwriting, things like if the songs tend to use the same structure or are too repetitive in sound etc. An album can still be a bad album and be lyrically relevant or culturally significant. Just something fascinating I was thinking about.

I just rate it a 5 if i love it. Otherwise, i give it time to grow or i come back to it later to try again in a different headspace. It’s either a 5. Or it’s shiiiiiiet from this point on
