I've come pretty close to 5ing all Meshuggah albums, minus one or two releases -namely Contradictions Collapse. It's good and all, but I always get angry at it for ruining a perfect discography

Without CC, Meshuggah would be a very different band than what it is today, so no, sorry I don't buy into this "it ruins an otherwise perfect discography" argument.

@taylor-It was definitely a necessary step and I actually dig the album from time to time. It's just that all of their other albums imo are 4 - 5s and Contradictions Collapse is the only exception. It's like Neurosis...it was a necessary step but their discography would be inhuman if not for their first couple records.
Obviously just my take on it, though.

I see what you're saying Lucca. of all their albums, it is easily my least favorite, even though yeah I still dig it from time to time. but it was a necessary step in their evolution and that step shouldn't be traded for anything else.

it's cool because you see how some parts of CC make their way into none EP, chaos, destroy erase, along with the heavier more chug moments, you see the evolution of their sound well when you listen to the first 3 albums back to back

The evolution they went through from CC to DEI is overwhelming. Even though they had already a few Meshuggesque tracks back in CC. High-end solid discography, no doubt.

Ahah, thanks. Damn yeah im guessing this will be legendary man. Its their Ophidian Tour, Decapitated and C.B Murdoc are supporting them. And yea, they will play lots of Koloss tracks.
For anyone into Decapitated and Revocation and stuff, C.B Murdoc is a good go to band. I myself am not very fond of them, but if your into modern thrash death or wtv, i recon it might get interesting.
