I'm reminded of when Park would follow me around on here for days at a time and tell me to neck in like every thread. We all know what happened to him.

What happened to him

He got banned long term because he's completely insane and absurdly toxic. Idk if he got perma'd, but he's been gone for like six months and it's been bliss tbh

So SoP has morphed into Retromorphosis with basically the Incurso lineup except for KC Howard on drums. Bryssling has shared some new snippets on FB and Muenzner confirms he has joined the band on guitar. This should be interesting.

I remember him saying Retromorphosis was not going to be super technical like SoP, but I wonder if he’ll actually be able to help himself lol

^^yeah I think he won't: https://www.facebook.com/100000131822149/posts/pfbid02LivMquJa9YPfJPHqP6w4hiPMxUAjdLhdfyQpHqtuthR2FZaXYmQorY2o2PFUPxUTl/
Tbf it does seem a bit more repetitive in design.

"Im so glad i can find enjoyment in the shit I listen to"
good for you, i guess, but i'd hope most people are able to achieve this?

Maybe. Idk I used to be pretty critical of music and constantly looking for flaws, etc. I feel like a lot of people are extremely critical of what they listen to and they forget to just (as simple as it sounds) enjoy the music. I let go of that a few years ago and it was extremely liberating to just enjoy what I listen to and stop caring what people think about what I enjoy

haha, fair enough!
i believe you can be very critical and still find infinite music to enjoy. but yeah, i guess i could totally see myself being overly critical/dismissive and as a result miss out on a lot of stuff i'd otherwise enjoy had i been more open minded initially...

There's nothing wrong with being critical. Some people derive enjoyment and fulfillment out of the critical process itself.

It's good to be critical and know what you like, and after all life's too short to lose time listening to mediocre stuff.
On the other hand, I think a lot of people would be slightly less critical listeners if they knew what goes into being in a band, writing and putting out music, and trying to survive financially. Talking about the smaller, dedicated ones of course. Or perhaps that makes you even more critical idk
