Most of their lyrics are about ancient Gods and mythology. At least in Impulse they were.

i really dislike christian bands. when i know something is written primarily for a religion i sort of lose interest, as i do not support most religions, at least the mainstream sects (if you will) of them.

really, to me, only Buddhism makes sense to some degree.

I know what you mean, there aren't really that many Christian bands that I listen to where their lyrics are noticeably religious though

true that ^ although at the same time i feel i've moved away from any of the genres that frequent christian lyrics. i'm not really into metalcore or posthardcore anymore, for all i know there could still be that trend of christian/metal bands.

i really liked Define The Great Line as well as LITSOS. their last album was interesting but never stuck with me.

as for AILD i have no input, never got into 'em. wasn't the vocalist convicted of murder recently? or conspiring to murder? can't remember

Alternative Press did a massive interview with him and it sounds like he's back on the God-wagon

i never understood why people who don't believe in a religion were so up in arms whenever there were religious themes in music. back when i was super into christianity i listened to anti-religion themed music all the time and it never bothered me, and that's literally the exact same thing.

i dont mind references but it's super off putting when it's the only subject

I'm an antitheist, that shit makes me cringe if it's explicit

but like I say, never really heard any direct reference to Christianity in the music I listen to

that's good. subliminally working it in to music i'm fine with, sort of the "interpret it the way you want" but when it's just preaching jesus to me... hell nah. not my cup of tea at all.
